At 1/1000 its pretty much certain that Liverpool will win the Premier League this season, but how much longer will reds fans have to wait?
Liverpool hasn’t won a league title for 30 years, however, it seems as if this is all about to change. They are currently on 76 points at the top of the table with Man City 22 points behind in second and at 300/1 on Betfair. 22 points is the biggest lead ever in Premier League history when the top two sides are on the same games.
Given that Liverpool hasn’t won it for so long, they won’t mind waiting for an extra game or two to confirm it this year. However, what they will want to know is when is the earliest they can win it by.
We’ve got through Liverpool and Man City’s fixtures to see when it’s most likely that Jordan Henderson will lift the Premier League trophy.

Liverpool’s remaining fixtures
Five wins or 91 points are all it’s going to take for Klopp’s side to win their first-ever Premier League title. Given that they have only dropped two points all season you would expect them to win the upcoming five games, these are:
- West Ham (H) – 21/02/20
- Watford (A) – 29/02/20
- Bournemouth (H) – 7/03/20
- Everton (A) – 16/03/20
- Crystal Palace (H) – 21/03/20
Liverpool have already beaten all of these sides this season and should expect to lift the trophy against Palace at home. The trickiest game here will be Everton away. This is a derby and Ancelotti has the Toffee’s playing a lot better recently. However, should City drop points between now and the Palace game, it means Liverpool could win the league at Goodison Park!
This would be every Everton fan’s worst nightmare and they will be hoping City win all their remaining games. Should Liverpool slip up though then it means it’ll go to their next game after Palace. This just so happens to be away at Man City. The neutral will be hoping that either Liverpool or City drop points as this would make for a very dramatic end to the title race.
Man City’s remaining fixtures
City will be in a way hoping for Liverpool to get the job done sooner rather than later. The last thing they will want is Liverpool to win the league at the Etihad and really rub it in their faces. They have to play:
- Leicester (A) – 22/02/20
- Man United (A) – 8/03/20
- Burnley (H) – 14/03/20
- Chelsea (A) – 21/03/20
Pep’s side have already beaten Leicester and Chelsea this season but lost to Man United at home. It will be tough for them to win all these games, especially with Chelsea and United battling it out for fourth place. On top of this, City have a two-leg Champions League tie against Real Madrid to play. They may rest players for this giving Liverpool and even greater chance to win it against Everton away.
City will be hoping that winning the Champions League will make up for them not winning the Premier League. They are the current favourites with Betfair to win it at 7/2 with Liverpool at 11/2.
The current record for this biggest winning margin of a Premier League title is 18 points set by City in 2017/18. With Liverpool already on 22, it looks as if they’ll break that record as well!
